Job Description

Job Summary: Responsible for successfully managing projects supporting key customer deliverables to the highest customer satisfaction, while driving Cost, Quality and Timeliness. The Project Manager is accountable for profitability and customer satisfaction for all projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

1.       Oversee the technical implementation of equipment upgrade, installation, and integration as required by client

2.       Travel to remote locations to oversee/manage project

3.       Review close out documentation

4.       Ensure that billing and invoicing is correct and accepted by client

5.       Oversee employee activities and assist employees in negotiations

6.       Report progress on projects to PFTS management

7.       Closely track and monitor detailed information in an organized manner and report accordingly in high level meetings with client

8.       Responsible for site completions to meet or exceed customer satisfaction of your projects.

9.       Maintain communications with customer field personnel.

10.   Provide leadership and guidance for crews assigned to your projects.

11.   Responsible for all safety, schedule and quality issues for your projects.

12.   Solicit and manage subcontractors to maintain quality, safety and budget.

13.   Maintain change orders and associated documentation for payment.

14.   Review project costs for accuracy of time, materials and subcontractors.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

•         Bachelors degree in Project Management or related field

Experience:

•         Minimum of 2-3 years experience in project management, and/or related functional area in a communication systems company

  • Proven project management success in large scale Network Rollout and Wireless Site Development and Construction

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of specific equipment and/or materials used in the performance of the essential functions of the job
  • Understanding and project experience with site construction, network deployment and integration of Fiber systems, as well as telecom services.
  • Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality to minimize risk of errors
  • Ability to lead teams and contribute as a team member
  • Knowledge of products
  • Current PMP certification or is actively pursuing professional project management certification (PMP), recommended to be completed within 1 year
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project and Oracle

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to ­­­­­25 pounds, as needed
  • Working outside in various weather conditions
  • site travel or national travel depending on project needs
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hour
