DirectSAT USA - Field Supervisor
Philadelphia, PA

*Must have experience in the telecom installation industry to qualify for this job!*

Job Summary:

This position oversees field technicians and ensures quality service is being performed on all installation, upgrade and repairs of residential & commercial satellite products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with work overflow
  2. Oversee technicians on team
  3. Coordinate with General Manager on daily responsibilities including any OOPs or VIP projects
  4. Account for all jobs and verify all daily work that has been dispatched and acknowledged
  5. Coordinate with dispatch to ensure all jobs are updated with status information with in the appropriate timeframe
  6. Check in with technicians at the conclusion of each day to ensure all jobs are completed and closed
  7. Show exemplary customer service to DirecTV, DirecTV customers, corporate leadership, subordinate supervisors and technicians, and have the ability to instill technicians with a professional, customer service driven attitude
  8. Recruit, train, coach and motivate technicians
  9. Adhere and enforce safety policies and promote safe work environments

10. Facilitate accurate counting and control of all issued gear and equipment

Job Requirements

Qualifications:


Education:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred

Experience:

  • 2-3 year experience in , satellite installation, electronics, CATV, telecommunications or related field

Technical Skills:

  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Advanced understanding of Satellite installation, repair and service
  • Knowledge and experience using hand tools
  • Advanced knowledge of satellite equipment and mobile test equipment
  • Knowledge of telecommunications installation standards

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures
  • Ability to work directly with customer
  • Communicate in person, by phone and email with managers and co-workers
  • Must work in a team environment and be a valued member of the team and the company
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 75 lbs of equipment and tools
  • Must be able to use a variety of hand tools
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat
  • Must be willing to travel out of market/state
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
  • Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
