Job Description

Job Summary: Applies cash collections to outstanding receivables, ensures that receivables are up to date and collected and recorded in a timely manner according to established procedures.  Supports and assists Treasury manager with projects and analysis.



 



Primary Responsibilities:



 




  1. Transfer daily invoiced amounts from unbilled sales to billed A/R account



  2. Apply cash payments daily and analyze



  3. Reconcile unapplied cash receipts discrepancies with business units



  4. Recognize weekly unbilled sales amounts



  5. Follow-up on weekly inquiries on old outstanding balances



  6. Follow up with Treasury manager and division controllers on key issues.



  7. Assist Treasury manager with accounts receivable and unbilled receivable aging analysis, special projects and analysis pertaining to cash related activities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:



 



Education:                              



  • Accounting/Business Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the accounting field







Experience:                             



  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable processing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



  • Process Improvement experience preferred







Technical Skills                       



  • Proficient skills using MS Office with strong experience using Excel



  • Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality to minimize risk of errors



  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills



  • Ability to process a high volume of invoices



  • Knowledge of Oracle accounting software preferred



  • Corporate credit card management is preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing



  • Proactive, initiative, drive and enthusiasm



  • Good planning and organizational skills



  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt to changing environment







Physical Requirements:          



  • Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day



  • Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day.



  • Typical office environment



  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes Excel, business math, background and drug testing.



  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.
