Accounts Payable (AP) Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Coordinator position is responsible for processing vendor’s invoices accurately and paying vendors on time.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Organize, review and audit invoices, check requests, purchase orders and employees expense reports for GL Account Coding by department
2. Enter approved invoices and employee expense reports into Oracle and Intact
3. Prepare and run approved checks
4. Create and maintain vendor records and accounts payable filing system
5. Address internal and external inquiries
6. Resolve and follow up billing issues and discrepancies
7. Act as a liaison between corporate, field offices, departments and vendors
8. Develops and implements cost saving measures
9. Distribute, circulate, file, mail checks
10. Data entry and data retrieval

Job Requirements



• Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the accounting field


• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Accounts Payable processing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Process Improvement experience preferred

Technical Skills:

• Proficient skills using MS Office with strong experience using Excel

• Strong analytical skills to solve complex payables issues

• Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality to minimize risk of errors

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills

• Ability to process a high volume of invoices

• Knowledge of Oracle accounting software preferred

• Corporate credit card management is preferred

Soft Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

• Initiative, drive and enthusiasm

• Good planning and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt to changing environment

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day

• Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day.

• Typical office environment

• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.

• May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.
