Financial Analyst – King of Prussia, PA

Job Summary:

Responsible for reporting financial and operational status by preparing and analyzing financial plans, forecasts, and reports. Responsible for financial modeling and ad hoc information reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting and ability to work on multiple projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for providing coordinated weekly financial reports including manager reports, corporate reports and flash results.

  2. Improve financial reporting process by providing robust and accurate reporting models.

  3. Support monthly and quarterly Financial and Operations’ reviews including KPI reporting and analysis.

  4. Support annual budget process, financial forecasts, and ad hoc studies.

  5. Consolidation accounting analysis, forecast analysis and modeling. Track financial status by monitoring variances from plan.

  6. Determine financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results.

  7. Improve financial status by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends; recommending actions.

  8. Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.

  9. Increase productivity by developing automated applications; eliminating duplications; coordinating information requirements.

  10. Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.

  11. Provide analysis on Inventory Management to ensure proper management over ordering and inventory turnover is consistent and effective.

  12. Support of the logistics function during quarterly inventory observations and reconciliations.

  13. Reconciliation of accounts receivable including variance analysis on any applied deductions.

  14. Revenue analysis and accounts payable reconciliations.

Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred


  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in financial analysis, in using and developing advanced Excel models, and in providing key business information using advanced MS Access tools.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting

  • Exceptional Excel skills – v-lookups, h-lookups, pivot tables, data aggregation formulas (indirect, match, offset), macros

  • Excellent MS ACCESS skills

  • Proficient skills using MS Office

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality to minimize risk of errors

  • Ability to accurately provide financial information on a tight schedule

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical abilities, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with all levels of operations and senior management

  • Excellent ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Time management skills; must be able to meet deadlines

  • Sufficient typing and data entry skills

  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day

  • Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day.

  • Typical office environment

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.

  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.
