Position Summary

The Market Director will create and implement a plan to for all engineering and construction activities. Work with our customers and subcontractors to create, execute and manage all activities within the market. The director will utilize their knowledge of program management practices to create and implement a plan and manage the budget considering such factors as labor costs, material costs, equipment rentals, special software and hardware, project facilities, permitting, and licensing.

Primary focus:

Primary focuswill be to create an aligned plan with our customers and subcontractors to deliver the scopes of work required by the program. Create and source a local team of inhouse and subcontract resources capable of executing the implementation plan, manage those resources to deliver on the plan objectives on time and within budget.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze the Scope of Work provided by the customer as the basis for the project delivery plan.
  • Develop and maintain a market based delivery team/s.
  • Create a project delivery plan and gain customer approval of the plan and any changes.
  • Develop KPI's and measure group performance to the plan objectives and budget, provide ad-hoc reporting as required by the SVP against the plan and budget.
  • Create and maintain a schedule of activities and manage any changes.
  • Meet with new team members and subcontractors as needed, to ensure a clear understanding of the work to be performed and assist in site surveys as needed.
  • Follow PMI and PMP principals and best practice in managing all projects within the market.
  • Collaborate with Management and the Business Development on an overall plan and vision to position the company as a prime service provider capable of delivering strategic opportunities.
  • Evaluate and negotiate proposed project costs to maximize profitability and efficiencies.
  • Capacity planning of crews to insure the success of targeted production within designated time-period.
  • Prepare assignment specifications for the delivery team that summarize the project deliverables, resources, capital requirements, suppliers, equipment and timeline the associated cost assumptions.
  • Work with supplier management and procurement with the buyout of the goods and services required to meet the deliverables.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises project resources focusing on construction, engineering and installation.
