Job Description

GW is seeking an entry level Vendor Onboarding Administrator to join our Partner Management Team. The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in vendor management or Sub-Contractor/1099 recruiting experience.  Candidate should show proven ability to source, experience developing and maintaining rapport, objectively analyzing responses, and working with job boards to ensure GW is finding and attracting the very best business partners.  This candidate will increase and grow the resource pool of subcontractor partners.  This is a non-traditional recruiting position. The ideal candidate will be well organized, disciplined, able to multi-task and will have the ability to communicate easily through phone, email and in person.  Some light travel is possible to visit local markets.

Job Requirements


  • Recruit, vet, and on-board Subcontractors to provide the Construction Team with high quality business partners

  • Evaluate and vet potential Sub-Contractors during the on-boarding process by asking questions; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to project requirements, determining resources and abilities

  • Attract Sub-Contractors by placing job advertisements using various resources and monitoring the response rates of each

  • Utilize the internet and social media for recruitment. Research new ways of using the internet and industry trends for recruitment.

  • Develop a pool of qualified partners in advance of need by communicating with each market

  • Electronically file and manage outgoing and incoming subcontractor on-boarding paperwork, making sure that all required licenses and certificates are current

  • Responsible for obtaining compliant certificates of insurance for Sub-Contractors by interfacing with insurance agents and brokers

  • Work with Construction Team to ensure quality staff at all sites

  • Communicate with subcontractors regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, source new leads and resolve any issues

  • Respond to all subcontractor inquiries in a timely manner

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Assists Sub-Contractors with questions and issues, providing timely and helpful resolutions

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Possesses knowledge of underground and aerial OSP Construction

  • Possesses knowledge of Sub-Contractor/1099 recruiting experience
